Senior System Analyst - Production Support - 3 posts
-To provide 24 x 7 support of the application system so as to ensure a high level of operational efficiency.
-To ensure a high level of process automation and system resilience and expeditiously coordinating efforts to overcome production issues, pre-empt and avert potential problems so that SLA to customers are met.
-Provide effective maintenance and support services to the various business units. Ensure the availability and robustness of the IT applications for a 24x7 mission critical system.
-Guide team members on the resolution of technical issues, testing and development of system software. (for team lead)
-Manage application projects, ascertaining that the tasks are performed promptly and in proper completeness.
-Work closely with business users to ensure that functionality in the supported systems is used in the correct manner, and adequate processes are in place to handle issues reported by the users.
-Develop test plan, drive user acceptance tests and regression tests for new system enhancements.
-Be highly responsive to the dynamic nature of the business environment and to quickly react against any critical issues related to the supported systems at all times.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related discipline from a recognized University.
Technical Skills :
-Essential knowledge of programming languages (Java, C, Visual Basic, HTML, etc.), operating systems (NT, Unix, etc), CRM Applications and ORACLE or similar RDMS databases.
-Familiarity with Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC) and have undergone at least one complete lifecycle of a medium-to-large-scale application development project involving vendors, in-house IT teams and business users
-Experience in the Analysis, Design and Development of Web based applications with good knowledge of JAVA, J2EE, EJB, Servlets, JSP, CORBA, XML, HTML and JavaScript.
-Familiar with implementation and deployment of J2EE framework, design patterns and application servers.
-Familiar with development tools (JBuilder, Jdeveloper, Eclipse, netBeans, etc) and UML.
Experience :
-At least 5 years of working experience in the IT industry
-At least 2 years of working experience with Unix, PL/SQL and Java programming.
-At least 1 year of working experience in application support in a 24x7 IT environment
-IT experience in the Telecommunications/Infocomm industry is preferred though not mandatory
-Web development and support experience will be a bonus
