d ba pedeng magdefrag na lng d ba maaayos doon yn??? saka bka d ka naka ultra dma mode... dunno how can defrag can make a difference, its the dvd drive that's being accessed not the hd (btw, the hd usually lights up when the drive hangs, it tries to read if there's a read ahead buffer to compensate for the delay). if you mean the data being recorded on dvd should be defragged or anything, these media are read-only and afaik the data inside cannot be fragmented upon recording because of the process performed when burning. regarding udma mode, (afaik again) only hd's support these. also you should be using the shielded type ata100 cable (something like that), a little expensive compared to the typical ide cables (Php120). most board manufacturers only supports a single udma "something" slot (usually the primary) indicated by a blue colored ide port. it is not advisable to connect another udma cable on the other. on my experience, a cd drive connected as a master/slave on a primary (udma cable), does not have any difference (i use ali agp/ide tools to monitor this). otherwise correct me if im wrong... ;D
